Olga being the eldest was more concerned by marriage matters than her sisters, one of her first suitor was the twenty-three-year-old Prince Christopher of Greece and Denmark he fell under the charm of Olga while visiting his sister Grand Duchess Maria Georgievna, His sister´s lady-in-waiting wrote :

Olga nursed an innocent passion for a junior officer on the Standard, Pavel Voronov, it seems he shared her feelings, but it was doomed from the beginning and he married Olga Kleinmikhel. Alexandra était horrifiée quand Maria Pavlovna proposé son deuxième fils, Boris, comme un possible futur mari pour Olga, elle écrit:

Quant à Maria, elle avait de l'affection pour Nicholas Demenkov, elle parlait ouvertement de son émotion, à son père, elle avait même signer ses lettres de Mme Kolya Demenkov. ', Alexandra a appelé «gras compatriote de Marie».



Au LEA ils vivaient le stade précoce de l'amour. Nicolas et Alexandra voulaient prendre les choses lentement, la Première Guerre mondiale a mis un frein à toutes les perspectives de mariage.

En outre, ils étaient si près que je pense qu'ils chérissaient le fait qu'ils ne pouvaient «garder» leurs filles avec eux.




À mon avis, ils ne auraient jamais pousser leurs filles dans un mariage sans amour ni un mariage dynastique qui aurait pu être malheureux, peut-être je ai une vue utopique sur le sujet mais en dépit de beaucoup de gens pensent qu'Alexandra était hautaine et  snob, Tsarina comprenait ses Filles, et savaient que ces mariages n'auraient jamais été heureux, comme son propre mariage, son Amour profond pour Nicolas II.
